Asako Masako fought alongside Asaki Masako for a number of years, and in fact helped train her in combat, so they wield similar combat styles. He is a highly capable melee combatant with any weapon, though he has a greater predeliction to using his Chaos Energy to further supplement his already considerable combat abilities.

Prior to the events of Chaos and Clutchfiend[]
Asako is the brother of Asaki Masako, and both share a common history. Their parents were killed by a group of men, an event that Asako secretly blamed Asaki for failing to avert.
Together, they joined a criminal organization and fought for them for quite some time, with Asako helping to train her fighting abilities. However, when it appeared to Asaki that that Asako has been killed during an operation, Asaki fled, leaving her brother behind.
Chaos and Clutchfiend[]
Asako resurfaced later, during the companions' crusade against the Chaos Lords on Aldrean. Apparently Asako had joined the ranks of the Chaos Lords, and learned of Asaki's presence on the planet.
Bitter about what he perceived as her abandonment of him years earlier and blaming her for the deaths of their parents, he captured Asaki and turned her to Chaos using a dose of Celestial Toxin. He hoped to get his revenge upon her by having her kill her former friends, and revealed that his past training of her had just been so he could fight and kill her on something of an equal footing.
