History[]
Baltur is one of the many life-bearing worlds on Ithia. Its various feudal kingdoms were generally unremarkable.
However, Baltur's largest kingdoms became the target of Morganem's conquering Dharuk armies, and quickly fell to their superior military might. Morganem subsequently installed puppet kings in their stead, who owed fealty to him.
As with many of the worlds conquered by Morganem, these puppet kingdoms become oppressive and tyrannical, using Morganem's backing to secretly settle feuds and exploit the populace.
Soul Reaver found himself banished to Baltur after his failed attack on Khaal Spire at the beginning of To the Bitter End. Unconscious, he was taken to Greyholm Prison, from which he eventually escaped.
There was a sizable underground resistance dedicated to overthrowing Morganem's puppet kings, and with Morganem's defeat during the events of To the Bitter End, they may eventually be successful. During the Epilogue of To the Bitter End, Hektor Bliten and his band of outlaws appear to have joined this cause and are seen actively fighting the regime forces.
