Overview[]
Location: Ithia
Type: Planet (lifeless)
Description[]
Though Kurash did once support life, it now only supports microbal life and a few of the hardiest plants. Due to a slowly dying sun, even its equatorial regions are constantly at sub-zero temperatures. The surface of the planet is coated in ice and snow. Its atmosphere is comfortably breathable, but prone to harsh blizzards.
Some traces of an ancient civilization can be found in some regions of Kurash. Among them are ruined temples dedicated to Uthurak, though they are mostly buried beneath the ice and slow.
Notable Places[]
None. The surface of Kurash is almost entirely barren.
History[]
Kurash must once have featured a sentient species, but in all likelihood the ever-worsening climate led to their demise. The fact that the temples they built were dedicated to Uthurak would suggest that these peoples were either convinced of the inevitability of their own oblivion, or were desperate enough to turn to the very darkest of forces, hoping that doing so would spare them. The barriers between Ithia and the Void is thin in these places, suggesting that the worship was not without certain physical effect - though it clearly did not save the supplicants.
During the events of To the Bitter End, Kitharsis found himself marooned on Kurash until he was rescued by the companions. During their stay, they discovered that the Void Children had begun to excavate some of the ancient temples, and were using the weakened reality there to draw more power from the Void to themselves. They even managed to create a monstrous Void Growth at one of the ruins, though this was destroyed by the companions.
